Our exceptional park district comprises both state-of-the-art recreational facilities and natural resources. Our access to the Rock River, proximity to several state parks and short distance to areas of interest provide plenty of recreational choices.

Sterling's downtown district is a diverse mix of shopping, culture, and dining. The Sterling Municipal Symphony Band fills the streets of downtown with music every Wednesday evening in the summer at the historic Grandon Civic Center. The annual Blues Fest each July brings a two days of the best blues to our region and our annual Dog Days, kicked off by our downtown merchants with Hot Dog Days, offers a fun family day in the park for family, friends and their pets. Our largest Parade, the Fiesta Day Parade, complete with food, music, and dance, comes to our streets every fall to celebrate our City's rich Hispanic Culture. Also, enjoy our unique indoor Twin City Farmer's Market that's open year-round located in our exciting downtown. And of course, each year our Seasonal Sites and Sounds Parade wraps up the years events with a site to remember.
